Preston caught a little blue gill! He was thrilled, he just couldn't wait to go fishing! Saturday night when Jeff put the boys to bed I was sitting at the camp fire with Chloe and I don't know for sure what was going on in the tent but Austin and Preston were cracking up. It was the sweetest sound. I love the memories they are making in the summer, they really grow closer each summer they get to spend together.

camping fun

We're setting record lows- for sure Michigan weather here in Missouri- 70's for the high and upper 50's for the lows IN JULY! I love it!

Play days with friends

another great week

Early last week we cleaned closets and rooms for big trash day! Lots of fun let me tell you but the boys had fun finding toys they forgot they had. Tuesday we went to Cape county park and then we went to feed the peacocks! We admired how pretty they were and took a minute to thank God for all the beautiful things he has made, even the peacocks- they really are beautiful. Wednesday we picked up Parker and Hailey, grabbed some McDonald's and headed to the park. Afterwards, it was back home for some water play on the slip-n-slides. I took a full bottle of dawn outside for them to scrub some of the dirt off of the slides so their suits wouldn't get stained. I ran inside to feed Chloe and came back to find some pretty soapy kids and needless to say a pretty empty bottle of soap. I suppose the slip-n-slide was extra slippery! They had a great time. Thursday we went to the mall- had gymbucks burning a hole in my pocket. Friday the boys got to play with their friends Sydney and Sierra all afternoon. The weather was just beautiful again so we decided to camp Saturday night at Sam A Baker. It was a great time, I really like it there. We went to the river, took bike rides, played at the park, went fishing- just all the fun camping stuff, roasted marshmallows for smores and the boys played baseball and football. Chloe did great, she really likes the outdoors, thankfully, since we all do. The low Sat. night was 58 or something crazy like that for July. Luckily, we had a space heater to keep us warm. Great family fun as always!

Just a few more pics!

misc. pics from the week

a day at capaha park

We fed the ducks and just spent most of the afternoon playing and hanging out! Some may say I'm crazy but I never get tired of spending time with my kids especially when we pack in so much fun!

We started this last summer- a family fun mag. activity and decided to try it again. We spent two days at the creek and about everyday at the park, the weather was awesome with a north breeze blowing in! We took full advantage of it- no time to be inside!

Happy 4th of July

We got to celebrate a day early. Jeff was off of work so we went to the lake and Danielle and Adam followed out there. The weather was perfect- not too hot but warm enough to swim. We mainly swam and tubed. Danielle was able to hold Chloe while I tubed and Jeff gave me the perfect ride until I told him just a little faster and well needless to say- I was thrown off the tube. It was fun and worth it though! Apparently the boys got a kick out of me falling off the tube. We brought our camping stuff in the event that we would find a site. We found a camp site and well we were pretty much roughing it in a field basically right next to a baseball field. Darn, we forgot our mitts. It was a good time and best of all we got to watch the fireworks on the lake. We didn't get back to camp until 11:00 because of the traffic but it was worth it! The fireworks were awesome! The fun continued on the 4th, we packed up early before the rain, took it easy most of the day and then went to the Fisher's for dinner and fireworks! We finished the weekend at my moms for a b-b-q Sunday evening. It was another great summer weekend! I love summertime!

Playing in the rain

The rain was a blessing on this hot June day- the humidity was just nasty for about a week, glad that has passed- for now anyways!

Austin's birthday sleepover

Chloe looking cute

Fun at the Fisher's cabin. Austin enjoyed the survivor game where they had to eat the worms a off the plate with their hands behind their back. Preston loved the four wheeler rides and Chloe liked it at the river where it was nice and cool.
