June

I can't believe June is almost over. It has been so much fun with Disney, relatives visiting, a trip to the lake, baseball games twice a week, out to the Fisher's cabin to play in the river, swimming at the Jackson pool and grandma Judi's, trips to the mall to play games and to get a cookie- basically just something to do inside to stay cool on these hot, hot days of Missouri summer, and two birthday parties for the boys (5 and 8 already_ crazy how fast it goes by). For Preston he got to invite two friends to go to arena miniature golf, then we came back here for pizza and cake and ice cream with the family. Austin wanted a sleepover. So, for his party we played baseball and kickball and had barbecued hot dogs and nachos. The nine boys settled down around ten for a movie (game plan) and were all out by 11:30. It was a good time and the boys were great!
Chloe is now 7 months and sitting up. She loves it outside and the heat doesn't even seem to phase her too much. She gets up on her hands and knees and inches backwards. She loves it in her jumperoo, she bounces likes crazy. She loves to be tickled. I love to hear her laugh.

The lake.. at last!

So much fun! Chloe stayed with grandma! We all tubed..I loved being out there again after being pregnant last year and only getting to go along for the boat ride. Now, I can't wait to ski and knee board!

Cousins

The boys really enjoyed having their cousins from Michigan stay with us for the week! They had fun slipping and sliding one day, going to mall, Farmington water park, and the conservation center.

What a cutie!

Austin looks so stinkin' handsome. He is having a blast playing baseball, we are so glad he decided to play. He sure knows how to hit the ball and he's got a pretty good arm on him, too- if I must say so myself ! We are so proud of him (can you tell?).

home sweet home

Souvenir shirts and a baby Minnie for Chloe! What a trip, I can't wait to go back when Chloe is 4 or 5!

our last days

Our day at Hollywood studios was short, we got a late start and it was very hot. So, we decided to swim and then go downtown Disney. After swimming we headed to Planet Hollywood to eat by this time, in the pouring rain. We made it through the rain and actually got right in. The boys loved it. We ate on the third floor overlooking the restaurant, they took lots of pictures and the food was fabulous. Then we went to a five level arcade which they thought was pretty cool, as well. Epcot was our last day and it was so nice this day, it rained again but afterwards it was not very hot, very pleasant. It was hard to leave but we had so much to do to get ready for the long ride home which the kids did great on. I was very impressed at how well the car ride went.

Since our breakfast was so early (7:25) we were able to be at magic kingdom when it opened. We got do do so much this day. We rode the buzz lightyear ride at least three times, got to ride the race cars, and several other fun rides. One benefit of having a baby with you is the parent switch which allows one parent to ride first and then switch without having to wait in line again. So the boys were able to ride a lot of rides twice. On this particular day, there were several rides that Chloe was even able to ride on with us. The small world was one of them, I
really enjoyed that ride myself. It takes you all over the world and one of the places was decorated with white, light blue, silver, and well crystal like colors and Austin said, "Where are we now, heaven?", it was cute. We took a break from the heat again at our pool and headed back to eat dinner at the Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends. We rode more rides, picked up some fudge and ventured back to our room for some much needed sleep.

Happy Birthday Preston

We started the day bright and early with a birthday breakfast with Mickey and friends. Preston loved his special day at Disney. We went back to M.K to finish the other half of the park.

A day at the beach

It was a relaxing day at the beach today (only about an hour away) so we took it easy. Jeff and I were both feeling a little sinused and overwhelmed with the size and crowds at Disney. On this particular day I didn't have anything planned for us to do. The boys loved playing in the ocean. We went to cocoa beach, it was alright. Definitely not Destin pretty but it was the beach so I was happy to be there, to hear the waves and taste the salty water. We went out for dinner at another fancy restaurant where we were able to eat steak and dessert again ( we had the dining plan which enabled us to eat more expensive meals than we ever normally would). It was very nice, I'm surprised we didn't gain 10 pounds while we were there because we ate so much, I guess all the walking equals it out!

Magic Kingdom

Well, day two was quite busy at magic kingdom. It was so awesome... the first thing we saw when we walked in was the parade coming down main street. It was a magical moment with the castle in the background, the music, and the character's dancing around us. We were were overwhelmed with the size of this park and decided to focus on a few areas today and go back to do the rest. We rode a few rides, the train, and ate lunch. By then it was so hot so we went to swim at the hotel before dinner. After dinner we went back to Magic Kingdom for a wonderful evening filled with a parade at dusk followed by an amazing firework show which the boys loves as you can see in their faces. It was after ten before we left this night and we were so exhausted. Luckily, we were able to spend the next day at the beach to get rested and prepared for the following three days of fun.

Well i hope to post each day of our trip but right now we have company (jeff's sister and her four kids). So, we've been busy with them since we returned. Lots to update later!

Animal Kingdom at Disney World Day 1!

What a fun place! Crowded, a little hot, and not a lot of relaxing but tons of fun and so many memories made. The boys really enjoyed the trip and Chloe was wonderful, even for the almost 15 hour car ride. Austin and I rode Mount Everest and to see his face after we got off was priceless. He was all smiles from ear to ear and couldn't stop talking about how fun it was.
