Last weekend was pretty relaxing. Friday Jeff was fixing a plumbing problem at my moms so Preston, Chloe, and I just hung out at the house (Austin was with Jeff). For Valentines, I was surprised with pink roses (my favorite color, of course) a box of chocolate, and a new towel robe that I had been wanting. Jeff and I were invited to go out to an elegant dinner with some other couples but we had to pass this year. We didn’t want to ask the grandma’s to watch the kids on Valentine’s since they already have Chloe throughout the week. However, we did ask them to watch the kids on Sunday so Jeff and I could celebrate. Jeff dropped the boys off with one grandma and I took Chloe to the other and we met up back at the house, it was like a date. We just hung out at the house and watched a movie. It was so fun to snuggle on the couch in complete quietness. It felt like we were teenagers on a date again. It was the best Valentine’s for sure, at least at this time in our lives, having a newborn and all. The amount of quality time spent between the two of us is definitely limited lately. Monday, I was off work for President’ day. The boys wanted to go to the mall to play games and go to Barnes and Nobel to read books; so, that’s what we did.

Well, I definitely don’t find the time to post as often now that I’m back at work! Last weekend was filled with kid fun! Friday we watched Space Buddies, the boys have enjoyed all of the previous “buddy” movies and they anxiously anticipating the release of this movie. Saturday was a relaxing afternoon for Chloe and I . Jeff took the boys on a geo-cash adventure. You try to find “treasure” as they call it using a GPS. I’m not sure the details; Jeff was introduced to this by his older sister. Unfortunately, the boys did not find the hidden treasure. Saturday night, we took the kids to the university aquatic center to swim with church. They love it there; it is really cool with the zip line, rock climbing wall, and rope to swing off of! Sunday was busy… after church we went to Applebee’s for lunch and afterwards the boys got to play outside. I took them for a bike ride; they had fun riding over the few piles of icy slush that was left on the roads. Finally, we took Chloe to Jeff’s parents so we could go to

Well, I made it through my first full week back at work. All in all, it wasn't too bad. I sure had a hard time leaving Chloe this morning though! I just miss her smiling face while I'm gone. She is asleep on my chest at the moment and I just love holding her and spoiling her! The week went by pretty fast, the evenings were pretty relaxing, just hanging out and enjoying each other's company. We've started an Uno tournament, the boys love it. Thursday Austin and Jeff went to the printing press with cub scouts. Tonight the boys want to go get the movie Space Buddies, tomorrow they will get to swim at the Semo rec center for a church outing, and Sunday Austin has a cub scout banquet just enough going on to keep them busy but not too busy. Last weekend's message at church was so refreshing. Sometimes we are so busy and we need to remember to put God first in all that we do. I'm going to work on that!

Chloe is 3 months old
I just can't believe it!
That easter bunny came while we were at church
and hid more eggs outside- how fun!
